Case study · US market entry

An Indian jewellery maker,
launched in the US.

A jewellery manufacturer that did all of its business within India partnered with us to enter the US — launching the brand on four US marketplaces and building its own brand online.

The challenge

A strong product, known only in India.

The business made and sold its jewellery entirely within India. Entering the US meant more than shipping abroad: the brand had to make sense to American shoppers, meet each marketplace's rules and stand on its own online.

It also meant running the business differently — with digital processes that could handle listings, orders and a brand presence in another country.

What we did

Step by step, around their business.

01

Understand the US buyer

We studied the US market and categories to see where the brand's designs and pricing would fit.

02

Shape the brand

We positioned the brand for American shoppers — story, product presentation and listing content.

03

Launch on four marketplaces

We set up and launched the brand across four US marketplaces, each with its own requirements.

04

Build the own brand

Alongside the marketplaces, we built the brand's own presence online so it isn't dependent on any one platform.

05

Go digital

We put digital processes in place so the team can run listings, orders and the brand across two countries.

What changed

The result.

  1. A business that sold only in India now sells in the United States
  2. The brand is live on four US marketplaces
  3. Its own brand presence is built online, not only on marketplaces
  4. Digital processes set up to run a cross-border business
